ART
The term "Poster art" describes a general category of printed 2-D
artwork which is designed to be affixed to a vertical surface.
Its evolution and development was (and is) closely linked to advances
in printmaking processes, notably lithography and offset litho, which
in turn are strongly influenced by photographic and software techniques.
Posters may consist exclusively of images, or images and text.
In rare cases (eg. works of calligraphy) it may consist entirely of textual graphics.
GRAPHIC DESIGN/
ILLUSTRATION
Graphic design is art with a purpose.
It involves a creative and systematic plan to solve a problem or achieve certain objectives, with the use of images, symbols or even words. It is visual communication and the aesthetic expression of concepts and ideas using various graphic elements and tools and can use image-based designs involving photos, illustrations, logos and symbols, type-based designs, or a combination of both techniques.
Visual branding consists of design elements such as colors, materials, shapes, fonts (typography), and functionality.
Branding includes the entire suite of branding elements that a company uses such as brand awareness, user profiles, videos, social media posts, logo, content strategy.
Visual identity or visual branding, on the other hand, is what visually communicates a company’s values and personality.
Successful visual branding creates a memorable experience for the consumer, makes them trust the company, and encourages referrals and repeating business if the experience was great.

Commercial graphic design plays a role in packaging and marketing by providing designs for labels, trademarks, colophons, and advertising materials (including catalogs, booklets, and prospectuses).
Graphic designers also provide such materials vital to industry as business forms and envelopes.
Commercial graphic design is closely related to advertising and is often a component thereof.
LOGO
DESIGN
Logos serve to represent a given organization or company through a visual image that can be easily understood and recognized.
A logo generally involves symbols, stylized text or both.
Three categories of logos exist and are often used in combination:

Ideographs - freeform images that can be entirely abstract.

Pictographs - symbolic, representational images.

Logotypes - simple, textual representations, like a company’s initials.
As a key part of an organization’s identity, a logo must try
to communicate the brand essence of a company or what
the organization represents.
TYPEFACE
DESIGN
A typeface is a design of letters, numbers and other symbols, to be used in printing or for electronic display.
Most typefaces include variations in size, weight, slope, width and so on.
Each of these variations of the typeface is a font.
There are thousands of different typefaces in existence, with new ones being developed constantly.
The art and craft of designing typefaces is called type design.

DESIGN
Web design is a web development process for creating a website
or other content that focuses on aesthetic factors like layout,
user interface and other visual imagery in order to make
more visually appealing and easy to use.
Web design makes use of various programs and tools in order
to achieve the intended look.
To create a winning design, web designers need to think about
their audience, the purpose of the website and the visual
appeal of the design.
